EMDR Therapy in Grandview
All 3 counselors are trained in EMDR. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence-based mental health treatment that helps the brain reprocess stuck, traumatic memories. By pairing recall of distressing events with bilateral stimulation (like side-to-side eye movements), EMDR neutralizes painful emotional intensity, allowing patients to heal faster than with many traditional therapies.
Behavioral Counseling and Therapy
Behavioral therapy is a practical approach that focuses on changing actions to improve how you feel. It is based on the idea that unhealthy habits are learned, and the core goal is to help you "unlearn" them and build healthier, positive behaviors.
Behavior Counseling can help with anxiety, stress, sadness or help break a specific habit that is not serving you very well.
